1983–84 Mersin İdmanyurdu season
Mersin İdmanyurdu (also ''Mersin İdman Yurdu'', ''Mersin İY'', or ''MİY'') Sports Club; located in Mersin, east Mediterranean coast of Turkey in 1983–84. Mersin İdmanyurdu (MİY) football team has participated in Turkish Second Football League in 1983–84 season. In the start of season the president was Mehmet Fatih Deveci. Later Haluk Ulusoy became the president. Previous season MİY was relegated from the first division for the fourth time. In 1983-84 season, the aim was to promote again, but the dream did not come true.

MİY football team has prepared to the season in Uludağ, Bursa. Preparation games:
* 31.07.1983 - Eskişehirspor-MİY: 3-0.
* Adanaspor-MİY: 2-0.
* Adana Demirspor-MİY: 2-0.
